Asking for suggestions on checking on welfare of my husband’s last living cousins in Germany. We have their last address and phone number. We went Christmas card which has not been returned, tried phoning numerous times but no answer. We contacted German consulate in L.A. for help but they were not very helpful. They suggest contacting the police in Germany. We want to know if they might have passed away or just arrange for a welfare check on the cousins who are in their 90s. Last contact was phone call Christmas 2023. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
