I have found several sources that indicate that my ancestor came from "Hausen, Bavaria". When I try to locate this town using Meyers Gazetteer I find about two dozen towns by that name. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to determine which town it is, or do I need to send two dozen letters to see where my ancestor was born? Thanks for your suggestions!
