Genealogy Deutsches Geschlechter Buch

In looking through the CDs available in the library, here, I see: Genealogy Deutsches Geschlechter Buch.  I am not familiar with this.  I wonder if someone could please explain to me what is contained here.  How do I know if it may be of any value to me?  And if so, how do I know which volume to borrow?
